Payment, Rates, and Good Faith Estimates

I currently am unable to bill insurance. To offset restricted access to care due to finances, I currently see 2-3 clients for free  (pro bono) and offer sliding scale options ranging from $125.00-$175.00/ hr rates for psychotherapy and supervision services. I also can provide superbills for clients to submit insurance reimbursement for psychoetherapy services provided in Washington State.

Currently my pro bono slots are full. All payments are processed through my secure client portal, Simple Practice. I charge full rate for late cancellations and no shows, depending on circumstances.

Please reach out if you are interested and concerned about finances.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. I provide GFEs at the start of our work together, based on the rate we agree upon, and we will update it periodically thoughout your treatment.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

This includesrelated costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, andhospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimatei n writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good FaithEstimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
